| The sale price of a Preston pub has been slashed by 25% in a bid to attract to a buyer.London-based property agency Paramount Investments decided to reduce the price of The Avenham Park, Avenham Lane, after it failed to be bought by property developers as expected.The price has been cut from £175,000 to £130,000. Managing director Mark Greig said the new price is designed to secure The Avenham Park's future as a pub.He said: "We anticipate that trading conditions will improve as we move on towards the summer and the pub industry gets used to the smoking ban."
